Sir,

I have the honour to forward the enclosed copy of a statement made by one Lo Tak-fat relative to a piracy committed on the Hong Kong Licensed junk No.5669, together with copy of a report from Sergeant Gauld who inspected the junk immediately after the report was made at his station, and to request that the matter may be brought to the notice of the Chinese Authorities.

In the meantime I shall take steps to trace the perpetrators of this outrage should they seek refuge in Hong-Kong or Macao.
